Hatayspor has signed 18 new players to stay in 1. Lig. The club's president, Ethem Akır, explained the details of the transfer push. Akır said that the club had to make transfers due to its financial crisis. Hatayspor's monthly expenditure was 39 million TL. However, the club reduced its personnel to 38, thus decreasing its expenses. Currently, the club's monthly cost is 7 million TL. Hatayspor used to spend 610,000 TL per game in Mersin, but now it spends 80,000 TL per game at the Skenderun Sarseki Fuat Tosyal Stadium. The club faced difficulties due to the transfer ban from the federation. Nevertheless, Akır stated that they met with TFF President İbrahim Ethem Hacosmanoğlu five times and received support. Hatayspor needs 11 wins in the remaining 15 games to stay in the league.
